...that my son is going back to school early this year. As in today, August 15. For most of summer this was stressing me out, but now that the day is here, I am so ready to have my freedom back. Not freedom from my child, because I love him to pieces. Freedom to work during the day without interruption. Yay!
...WriteOnCon. Always amazing. I look forward to it every year, and this year they had Google+ hangouts for the first time. These. Were. AWESOME. If you missed any of the conference, click HERE and HERE.
...reading. Reading reading reading. I did some writing, too, always. But I did a crap-ton of reading this week. In addition to manuscripts in my intern queue, I read a lot of books from my library. Books I read recently that I loved:
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson - the story of Peter Pan and Tiger Lily told through Tinkerbell (YA fairy tale retelling)
The Last Thing I Remember by Andrew Klavan - a political thriller that I just could not put down (YA thriller/suspense)
The Planet Thieves by Dan Krokos - a Star Trek-style adventure full of mystery and mayhem (MG sci-fi)
I am about 50 pages into OCD Love Story by Corey Ann Haydu (YA contemp) and I can already tell it's going to be a favorite.
...that the weather has been entirely Fall-like in the middle of August. Fifty-something degrees this morning with a high of seventy. It can just stay like this through the end of the year, I'd be okay with that.
What do YOU love this week?
